Experience
Bob Johnson is a Land Manager and Attorney with extensive experience in successfully and cost effectively acquiring, managing and transferring land for major international mining companies. Bob provides turn-key land programs and projects in the areas of hard rock minerals, coal, oil and gas, windpower, solar and geothermal energy. Bob has achieved an extremely high land acquisition success rate by building relationships with private and corporate landholders as well as government agencies in the US and Canada, including extensive work with Native American tribes.
Background
An Oregon native, Bob Johnson grew up on a ranch and began his career as an independent oil and gas Landman, primarily working in the Rocky Mountain States. After completing law school Bob shifted to the hard rock mineral industry completing a 23 year corporate career which Bob began as a Landman and concluded as Land Manager with Kennecott Exploration Company (Rio Tinto) in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Twin Metals Minnesota in St. Paul, Minnesota. As a Land Manager, Bob carried responsiblity for land acquisition, maintenance and dispositon for US land and some Canadian projects. Bob successfully spearheaded a steady stream of new project acquisitions throughout the United States along with meeting consistently accurate land maintenance and reporting obligations. Bob was responsible for work and training of first class land teams. Bob brings this extensive experience to each of your projects.
Bob is a licensed attorney and member of the Nevada, Oregon, and Colorado State bar asociations. Other affiliations include the American Association of Professional Landmen with the status of Registered Professional Landman, the Nevada Landman's Association, and the Rocky Mountain Association of Mineral Landmen.
